We are committed to making information available that explains how we operate and how we make our decisions.

Good governance and integrity underpin local government democracy, accountability and conduct. Adherence to these principles enables our community to hold the Council to account for its performance and reflects the obligations of the Local Government Act 2020 (the Act).

Council decision making is also conducted with transparency. The process by which decisions are made is transparent and clearly articulated in Council's Governance Rules 2020(PDF, 965KB) for the scrutiny of our community and accountability of Councillors and Council officers.
