This means that our pools have not yet been able to open in line with the easing of restrictions so far, and will remain temporarily closed for a little while longer yet. Works expected to be completed in the coming weeks and we look forward to sharing an official reopening date with you as soon as we can.

Please keep an eye out for further updates on our pool opening times on our website and Facebook page.

Reservoir Leisure Centre offers extended opening hours on selected weekends for trans and gender diverse people to enjoy exercise in a safe, supportive environment.

RLC is proud to have been the first leisure centre in Victoria to hold a Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) Swim Night in early 2018.

A recommendation of Darebin’s Sexuality, Sex and Gender Diversity Advisory Committee, these events have been developed to provide a welcoming and safe environment for trans and gender diverse members of our community to enjoy exercise.

Working with Transgender Victoria and the Victorian Pride Centre to develop a successful framework for hosting these events, we’ve since shared our experience with leisure centres in neighbouring municipalities. There are now several TGD and LGBTIQ inclusive events happening regularly at leisure centres across Melbourne.

Along with access to the pools, our TGD events have expanded to include access to the gym facilities and group fitness classes.

These events are open to trans and gender diverse people of all ages — if that’s you, come along, get some exercise or just hang out and socialise and in a safe and supportive environment. Friends, partners and families are welcome.

Entry is $3.00 at the door – no bookings required.

“What a very special evening. Thank you so much to everyone who made this happen. I had such a great time. It was a safe and friendly atmosphere. Met such lovely peeps. Thanks Darebin City Council.”

“Thank you so much for creating such a positive and safe space for us. There was so much care and consideration.”

“That was fun. Thanks, Reservoir Leisure Centre for accommodating us and making us feel welcome. Admittedly I was nervous about coming but I felt comfortable the moment I walked in the door. Your staff were really friendly and nice. I couldn't have asked for more.”
