Our Community Grants program supports projects that make Darebin a better, healthier, sustainable and more inclusive place.

Are you a not-for-profit community group or organisation with great ideas on how to create a better Darebin? It’s time to apply for our annual Community Grants.

What kind of grants are available? 

  • Small grants (up to $3,000)
  • Medium grants (up to $15,000)
  • Youth project grants (up to $5,000)
  • Venue hire support grants (up to $8,000)  

The next round of Community Grants open 1 April 2025 and close 31 May 2025.

Grants in previous years

In 2024 we received 199 grant applications across the six main grant streams totalling $1,074,176 (representing almost twice the available budget).

After a highly competitive assessment process, a total of 140 successful applicants have been recommended for funding. View the list of successful 2024 applicants(PDF, 287KB).
