Darebin Leaders of Volunteers Network
The Darebin City Council has a longstanding legacy of involvement with volunteers. Council directly recruit and manage volunteers, as well as work in partnership with local volunteer-involving organisations and volunteer community groups. We are always looking for new, innovative ways to work together to promote positive, meaningful volunteering practices and opportunities for community. Environmental Volunteer Managers Network in the North
The Environmental Volunteer Managers (EVM) Network in the North is a newly established network facilitated by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). The network is inclusive of the City of Darebin and various neighbouring Councils. Environmental volunteering or volunteering for nature includes activities that involve caring for landscapes, waste and recovery, energy and climate change, sustainability, citizen science and wildlife care. Representatives from local LGAs and key agencies, and representatives from local community groups who engage environmental volunteers are all encouraged to participate.
