Children's voices project
During 2020, we spoke to 30 primary school children to understand their experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During 2020, Darebin Council spoke to 30 primary school children from culturally diverse backgrounds in East Reservoir and East Preston to help understand their experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as its impact on themselves, their families and their community.
For some children, these might be the first time they were asked about their thoughts on COVID-19, as well as ideas for how to keep their families and community healthy and well during and after the pandemic.
The children’s responses show a complex world view and understanding about COVID-19 and its impacts, as well as their resilience, hope, anxiety, sadness, and appreciation of being listened to.
