Have you seen our recycling education campaign funded by Sustainability Victoria around Darebin? We'd love your feedback so we can improve our educational campaigns in the future.

On the morning of Friday March 7, 2025, we will post a survey on our Darebin social media pages. If you complete the survey and provide your email address, you go in the draw to win one of 2 copies of Yiayia Next Door’s cookbook.

General

  1. The Promoter is Darebin City Council (“Darebin”) (ABN 75 815 980 522) of 274 Gower Street, Preston Victoria 3072.
  2. For enquiries about this competition please contact the Darebin City Council Communications Unit on 03 8470 8225 or email communications@darebin.vic.gov.au.
  3. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  4. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and anything else that refers to this competition, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.
  5. Two winners will be selected. Each winner will receive one copy of Yiayia Next Door Cookbook.

Who can enter

Entry is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Darebin, with the exception of employees of the Promoter.

Immediate families of employees are eligible to enter.

When to enter

  1. The competition commences on the morning of Friday 7 March 2025 and concludes Monday 31 March 11.59pm.
    Entries must be received by the Promoter prior to the competition closes.
  1. The time of entry will in each case be the online entry received by the Promoter’s database, not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
  2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries

How to enter

  1. To enter via Instagram entrants must:
    • Access and log in to their personal social media account;
    • Go to Darebin City Council’s social media account
    • Find Darebin City Council’s post and follow prompts to start the quiz;
    • Provide contact information to enter giveaway and be notified if they win.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promotion and/or Promoter.

How the competition works

  1. The Darebin Green Waste Quiz is a “game of chance.” Entrants must complete the survey and provide their email address to go into the draw to win. Winners will be randomly selected.
  2. Multiple entries per person are not permitted.
  3. The prize schedule is as follows: Each winner will receive one copy of Yiayia Next Door Cookbook.
  4. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, nor are the prizes exchangeable.
  5. The winners will be randomly selected using a competition random selector tool. This process will be conducted by the Promoter at 274 Gower Street, Preston VIC 3072
  6. The winners will be notified of their prize by email
  7. Prizes will be awarded to the person named in the entry
  8. In the event that any element of the prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.
  9. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the competition result or any other decisions the Promoter makes in connection with the Promotion.
  10. The winners are responsible for collecting the prize from the Promoter at Darebin City Council Customer Service Centre, 274 Gower Street, Preston VIC 3072
  11. All entries become the property of The Promoter (with the exception of any intellectual property rights comprised therein).
