Merri Common Playground before consultation 2025
Thanks to funding from the Victorian Government, the Enhancing Merri Commons and Surrounds project aims to improve parks in Northcote. This will include various enhancements across:
  • Merri Common, 36A Bridge Street, Northcote
  • Caddayes Corner, 92 Clarke Street, Northcote
  • Peters Reserve, 14 Dalziel Lane, Northcote
  • Green Memorial Reserve, 45 Merri Parade, Northcote

The project aims to improve connectivity, accessibility and overall amenity of these parks. Four draft concept plans have been prepared with proposed works including new paths, seats, understory and tree planting as well as the renewal of an existing playground at Peters Reserve.

We are now engaging with the community on the proposed designs and planning for the four sites and enhancement works at the three sites – Caddayes Corner, Peters Reserve and Green Memorial Reserve.

What do you think about the draft plans? Will they improve the community’s ability to exercise, relax and enjoy the outdoors?

We’d like to know what other improvements the community would like to see.

From young to old, families to community groups, we want you to share your thoughts on the draft plans to ensure they best meet community needs and improve local biodiversity.

Find out more about the draft concept plans and have your say in your language until 6 April at yoursay.darebin.vic.gov.au/merri-common-surrounds.
