The annual Olives to Oil Festival is back, bringing people together to harvest olives and have them pressed into delicious, local olive oil.
If you are planning on harvesting your own olives, or with your neighbours, you can book your drop off location for Sunday 21 May now but don’t start picking until Friday 19 May!
On Saturday 20 May you can join us for a family friendly community olive harvest at All Nations Park in Northcote or Regent Community Garden. No experience is necessary – you will be shown how to safely harvest! The olives harvested will go into the CERES Olives to Oil communal oil pressing and then you can collect a small amount of oil in June 2023.
Don’t forget to drop off your harvested olives to your pre-booked destination on Sunday 21 May. If you are dropping your olives to Preston, you can speak with our team on the day to learn about food and garden waste recycling.
On Sunday 21 May from 11am to 4pm join us to celebrate the olive season with a free festival at CERES Environment Park in Brunswick East. You can enjoy food, music and culture, or just book your spot to bring along your olive harvest.
