For the seventh year, Council will fly the transgender flag above its 350 High St building this week in recognition of Transgender Week of Awareness (13-19 Nov) and Transgender Day of Remembrance (Nov 20).
By raising the transgender flag, Council is honouring the significant contributions made by trans, gender diverse and non-binary people daily in the Darebin community. We are making a clear and visible commitment to the safety, inclusion and well-being of trans people and their families.
Council is proud to celebrate and support our transgender and gender-diverse staff and community. You are seen, you are heard, and you are wonderful members of our organisation and community! We stand in solidarity with you.
