Employment services have the skills and resources to help connect employers with job seekers, including application advice, mentoring and advocacy.
The Local Jobs Program
The Local Jobs Program brings together expertise, resources, and access to funding at the local level to support job seekers and their communities in each region.
The Local Jobs Program team will work with employers and industry to address local labour force issues and design employment solutions through access to the Local Recovery Fund and existing State and Federal programs.
Skills and Jobs Centres
Skills and Jobs Centres offer free career, employment and training support services.
The centres are open to all members of the community. Whether you're a recent graduate, an experienced worker looking for a change, or someone who has been out of the workforce for some time, Skills and Jobs Centres can help you achieve your training and career goals.
Skills and Jobs Centres are also here to support employers looking to meet their workforce needs.

Workforce Australia
Workforce Australia is an Australian Government initiative delivered by a national network of organisations dedicated to getting more Australians into work. It connects job seekers with employers and is delivered by a network of providers in over 1700 locations across Australia.
Workforce Australia providers have business liaison officers who can work with you to refine your recruitment process and assist in finding local staff.
Workforce Australia providers can help job seekers with writing a résumé, looking for work, preparing for interviews, getting skills that local employers need, and finding and keeping a job.
Mentors
Jobs Victoria Mentors help people to become work-ready. Find a job that suits them, and support them in their role for the first six months.
Jobs Victoria Mentor services are limited but are open to job seekers who are either:
- Long-term unemployed (6 months plus) or
- At risk of long-term unemployment due to employment barriers and who lack adequate support through other services.
Mentors will be based in Partner organisations to connect employers to candidates with the right skills and potential to work in their business.
