How to register for child care

Find out the systems we use to register your child for child care.

Child Care Registration

You can register for one of the 8 child care services participating with the Darebin Registration System, any time, using our online registration system.

  • Completion of a registration does not guarantee a place and we strongly recommend you explore all child care options in the in the area

Registration Portal

Darebin is now using a new system called Hub Hello

For current families online registration portal

  • Enter your username and password
  • Select the heart (top left corner)
  • Select Waitlist from the drop down box.
  • Click on "Register another child" This will open another registration form with your details prepopulated.
  • Provide proof of Darebin Address
  • Provide proof of child's birth - Hospital Declaration, Passport, Birth Certificate, etc
  • Provide proof of Concession Card (if this applies to you)
  • Provide payment of $30.00

For new families online registration portal 

  • Select "Sign up to Waitlist"
  • This will open a registration form for you to complete
  • Provide proof of Darebin Address
  • Provide proof of child's birth- Hospital Declaration, Passport, Birth Certificate, etc
  • Provide proof of Concession Card (if this applies to you)
  • Provide payment of $30.00.

Forgotten Password online registration portal

  • Enter username
  • Select Forgotten Password
  • Enter username
  • An email will be sent with a link to resent your password
  • This will also let you into your account 

What are the steps for registering for child care?

Your child must be born before you can register for child care on the Darebin system

  1. Complete a registration form via the online registration portal and select "Sign up to Waitlist"
  2. Select up to 4 child care services.
  3. Complete all areas of the registration.
  4. Upload required documents - proof of birth, proof of Darebin address and Proof of concession card (if this applies to you)
  5. Make payment, there is a one off administration fee.
  6. Submit registration

The portal allows you view and update your registration details at any time, it does not advise you where your child is on the waiting list. 

It is your responsibility to ensure your details are always correct.

How do I register if I am unable to use the portal?

Call the registration team and they will assist you
