Removing leaves from gutters to reduce fire risk

Suburban homes can come under threat of grass or bush fire, especially when they are close to our parks, reserves and creeks

You don't have to live in the country to be at risk from a grass fire or bushfire. Suburban homes can come under threat, especially when they are close to our parks, reserves and creeks.

It is important to ensure that you are prepared for fires. Being fire ready is a shared responsibility between government, emergency services and the community. In case of fire or emergency, please call 000.

Our fire prevention officers make yearly inspections across all of Darebin's properties from November to March to ensure that they are maintained to a fire safe condition.
