Mini bus hire

Our mini buses are a service funded by Council for community groups, neighbourhood houses and non for profit organisations within Darebin. We have two mini buses available for hire out to our community who meet the eligibility criteria. The two buses are self-driven and drivers will need to provide driver history reports from VicRoads.

  • One mini bus with 9 seats + driver, or,  7 seats + driver (self) + wheelchair
  • One mini bus with 11 seats + driver (self)

Price of hiring is $70 per day or $45 for a half day (up to 4 hours).

The bus cannot be taken overnight. Bus hire is from 8:30am and the bus must be returned by 8:30pm.

Buses cannot be driven more than a distance of 100km from the Darebin Council Preston offices.

We require a minimum of 10 working days between booking the bus and the intended hire date.

New hirers and drivers will need to attend a face-to-face induction before hiring the bus.
