Charter of Aged Care Rights
Consumers receiving Australian Government funded aged care services have the right to be properly looked after, treated well and given high quality care and services.
Your rights are protected by the Charter of Aged Care Rights.
The Charter of Rights(PDF, 116KB) includes a list of rights that all consumers of any Government subsidised Aged care service can expect.

Quality Standards
The Australian Government Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission expects organisations providing aged care services in Australia to comply with the quality standards.
The Commission assesses and monitors the quality of care and services against the Aged Care Quality Standards.
