Senior Citizens Centres

Our Senior Citizens Centres are a place for community members to meet, discuss, organise activities or run workshops.

In Darebin we have six Senior Citizens Centres. These centres can be hired by eligible incorporated and not-for-profit community groups and organisations for activities that are welcoming and inclusive of older people.

Priority is given to activities that promote active and healthy ageing as outlined in Council's Active and Healthy Ageing Strategy 2011 – 2021(PDF, 7MB) . Groups running activities that connect people from different ages (intergenerational activities) are also encouraged.
