Report a road or footpath issue

Darebin roads and footpaths see millions of tires and feet every month, causing deterioration overtime. They also see damage from unprecedented surrounding environmental and situational factors. And, while we have a dedicated program of inspections and repairs, nobody knows local roads like you do. If you see an issue that's cause for concern, let us know so that we can send someone to check it out.

Report an issue with a footpath

If you've noticed a broken, cracked or raised footpath please raise it with us. The sooner it's reported, the sooner we can get onto it to avoid the damage getting worse, or it potentially causing injury.

You can report an issue with a footpath online by explaining where it's located, what the damage is and the material of footpath such as asphalt, concrete, pavers or if its unmade. This will help us determine when we can come out and equipment that may be needed for proper assessment.

We would also like to understand the extent of damage like how many bays are affected or how long, wide or deep the damage is. And, if there has been an incident to cause footpath damage this would be really helpful to know. This could be a tree root that has caused the footpath to lift or surrounding works recently occurred causing movement to the ground and a cracked footpath. Providing these details would be greatly appreciated.
