Nancybird is a local clothing label with a strong sustainability focus across both their products and their operations. They were already all-electric with solar power on the roof of their offices when they needed to expand into a new warehouse. The new space came with gas heating and other appliances throughout and no solar, but this didn't suit the Nancybird style. They installed a new 5.2kW solar power system using the Darebin Business Solar Bulk Buy and removed all the gas appliances, replacing them with split systems for heating and cooling and enabling them to remove the meter entirely and save on the connection fees.
You can watch a short video on their electrification journey here.
If you are a local Darebin business or organisation that wants to jump on board the all electric transition we can help you through our Energy$mart program. Energy$mart can help you upgrade to an efficient split system for heating and cooling and heat pump for hot water. Our program connects you to reputable installers and products, offers support and a rebate of up to $1,000 on top of other government subsidies.
